On 12 September 2026, the Interreg Cooperation Day 2026 will take place within the Interreg Slovenia–Austria Programme in Achomitz/Zahomec and Feistritz an der Gail/Bistrica na Zilji. For the 15th year in a row, the event will bring together participants from Slovenia and Austria and offer an opportunity to meet, discover the cross-border area and celebrate the cooperation that connects both sides of the border. Public Call for Applications in the frame of the FINNOPACK project
In the frame of the project FINNOPACK, a Public Call for Applications for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises striving to transition to a circular economy and with the need for an innovative and sustainable packaging for their products has ben launched. The application deadline is 17 June 2026.
Ceremonial Groundbreaking for the Construction of the Safety Center in Zell-Sele within the RES2ND Project
Some projects within the Interreg Slovenia–Austria Programme are specifically investing in cross-border resilience against natural disasters. As part of the RES2ND project, the ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of a training center for the bilateral deployment and training of firefighting units took place on 18 May 2026 in Zell-Pfarre (Sele-Cerkev).
